Health
Hospice of the Comforter’s benefit plan offers employees the opportunity to use a set amount of dollars. These dollars can be used to select from a menu of options that best fit their needs. Some of the options include:
- Open-access health coverage
- Two choices of dental coverage
- Cancer plan
- Medical reimbursement account
- Dependent Care reimbursement account
- Vision Plan
- Long Term Disability
- Additional Life Insurance
- FSA
Eligible employees receive Short Term Disability as well as Life Insurance in the amount of 1x your annual salary, both paid in full by Hospice of the Comforter.
Additionally, all eligible employees who participate in the Wellness Program have access to an employer-funded reimbursable “Benefits Bank” of monies to be used for medically necessary incurred expenses (i.e., prescriptions or co-pays).
Retirement Savings
A 401(k) retirement plan is available to all eligible employees. Hospice of the Comforter has a profit-sharing plan where eligible employees may receive contributions to their 401(k).
Paid Time Off
All eligible employees begin accruing Paid Time Off (PTO) upon hire. PTO is accrued based on hours worked. This rate continues to increase at incremental points in your years of service.
Wellness
Annually, eligible employees receive a designated amount of money for wellness reimbursement. Each employee defines his or her own wellness needs for reimbursement toward a wide variety of “healthy lifestyle” and health improvement initiatives, such as gym memberships, weight loss programs, smoking cessation programs, nutrition and diet education, cholesterol reduction and stress management.
Workplace massages relieve stress and offer an opportunity for improved self care. Employees benefit from chair massages provided two times a month, with a portion of the cost paid for by Hospice of the Comforter.
Additionally, employees have access to an employee assistance program. This benefit is available for all employees or members of the household to solve personal or work-related problems with the help of licensed professionals.
Professional Growth Opportunities
Full-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement after one year of service. Reimbursement is available based on course completion and/or grades received. Studies must be in employee’s field of employment. Professional certifications and CE hours are reimbursable under this program. Additionally, Hospice of the Comforter offers comprehensive education and skills development opportunities, averaging over 5 educational offerings each month. Our staff development programs consist of monthly CE hours offerings, twice a month case reviews and frequent web based seminars.
