Eligibility for counseling services is determined by the bereavement counselor who performs the initial telephone intake. Grieving persons who are in need of long-term counseling, psychotherapy, or intensive mental health treatment will be referred to an outside resource, which may charge a fee. For example, persons with symptoms of addiction or a mental health disorder may be referred to outside community resources, as they may not be best served by our short-term counseling services.
