Volunteers
Make a difference. Learn new skills. Make new friends.
As a volunteer, you will be a valued and vital member of our team. In addition to providing care to hospice patients and their families, or sharing your expertise to assist with administrative needs, you will have the opportunity to belong to a volunteer fellowship and gain new knowledge.
Our volunteers tell us that they receive as much as they give and their lives are enriched by making a difference.
"Volunteering is the most rewarding thing I do. It’s a two-way street whereby I can give to my community and in turn I am rewarded with life-changing experiences. I see a sparkle in patients’ eyes as they relive their stories. Smiles come across their faces as they receive everyday acts of kindness. It’s personal time well spent.”
- Jim Seibert, 15-year Hospice of the Comforter volunteer. Jim’s volunteering includes patient care, public speaking and facilities safety assistance.
