Meet Our Clinical Consultant Pharmacist

Connie Leon, PharmD, has been serving Hospice of the Comforter as our Clinical Consultant Pharmacist for two years. Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: When I can improve our patients’ quality of life by providing our teams with recommendations.
Q: What led you to Hospice of the Comforter?
A: During my Pharmacy residency program, I was introduced to Palliative Care and Pain Management. It soon became my passion! During my training as a Palliative Care Pharmacist for Florida Hospital East, I was introduced to Hospice of the Comforter. It was then I knew I wanted to be part of this family!
Q: What job responsibilities do you have?
A: My responsibilities include maintaining rules and regulations for Hospice House, answering clinical consults and questions from our nursing and physician staff, and providing education and in-services to nursing facilities and hospitals. I’m also involved in our Hispanic Outreach program to increase awareness of hospice care to our Hispanic communities.
