New Leadership Team Member Hired

Hospice of the Comforter is pleased to announce that Jeff White has joined the leadership team as Chief Compliance Officer and will be responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the compliance, quality assurance, safety and infection control and risk programs.

Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge to Hospice of the Comforter with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and hospital administration for acute and long-term care hospitals in government, not-for-profit and for-profit settings. Jeff is nationally certified and an active member of Health Care Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association.

Most recently, Jeff was Director of Corporate Compliance for CCS Medical and previously with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Contractors. Jeff began his Medicare tenure working for the state of Mississippi assisting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General and the United States Attorney’s Office.

In 2004, Jeff was appointed by Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour to represent Mississippi healthcare professionals on the Governor’s Children’s Justice Act Task Force and served in that capacity until moving to Florida.

Jeff graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and obtained his Masters in Health Science/Healthcare Administration from Mississippi College.
