COMEDIAN LARRY MILLER PERFORMS TO A SOLD-OUT CROWD AT HOSPICE OF THE COMFORTER’S LIVE-LAUGH-LOVE EVENT

Over 500 guests attended the fundraiser held at the Ballroom at Church Street on November 5, 2011.

Hospice of the Comforter hosted Live-Laugh-Love, a one-of-a-kind fundraising event, at the Ballroom at Church Street in Orlando, Fla on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 6 p.m. featuring Hollywood headliner comedian Larry Miller.

Guests were greeted by mimes as well as Laurel and Hardy while perusing the silent auction. Upon entering the dining room, guests were seated at tables complete with rubber red noses, hand clappers and other whimsical items. While the innovative cuisine dinner was served, guests were entertained by emcee Dave Russell of the SAK Comedy Lab and enjoyed a live auction which included a guitar autographed by Paul McCartney, and trips to Costa Rica, Paris and New York. The culmination of the evening was the performance of Larry Miller, one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces from over a hundred films and television shows including Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries, The Nutty Professor, Ten Things I Hate About You, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Desperate Housewives, Monk, Seinfeld and a recurring role on Boston Legal.

Over 500 guests gathered at the event which was sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, Harriett Lake, DRB Financial Group, Inc., Bright House Networks and Westgate Resorts Foundation. Other corporate sponsors included AETNA, Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Homes, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, ExcelleRx, Inc., Florida Hospital, Galloway Foundation, LarsonAllen LLP, Orlando Health, Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, Sysco Food Services of Central Florida, Puff and Stuff, Flight of Ideas, American Audio Visual and The Printers of Apopka.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Hospice of the Comforter’s Hospice House, the only free-standing in-patient facility serving the communities of Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties.
