Meet Eric Moore, MD,

Chief Medical Officer


After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Oakwood College, Eric Moore received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. He is licensed by the State of Florida, the DEA and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Moore was the Assistant Director of Family Practice at the Florida Hospital Residency Program in Orlando. He established both the first Substance Abuse Curriculum and the first Sports Medicine Clinic in the residency program.

In addition to opening his own private practice in 2002, Dr. Moore established Medical Psychiatric Consultants, a company that provides medical care for psychiatric facilities in Central Florida. He has also served as a medical consultant for Devereux Residential Treatment Facility and Lakeside Alternatives, located in Orlando.

Dr. Moore was the CEO of Mercy Drive Enrichment Camps, a local nonprofit, and served on the Hospice of the Comforter Board of Directors for many years. In addition, he belongs to several professional societies including the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Academy of Family Practice.  Dr. Moore hosted the weekly radio call-in talk show “Health and Medicine Today” and was a feature writer for Metro Orlando Parent Magazine and several other publications.

In 2008, Dr. Eric Moore joined the staff of Hospice of the Comforter as the Chief Medical Officer / Hospice House Medical Director.
