Hospice House
Hospice of the Comforter’s Hospice House is designed for the short-term care of a patient to manage his or her pain or other symptoms that cannot be provided in another setting, for transitional care from facility to home, or for respite care for families needing temporary relief.
Our Hospice House Care Team includes an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, chaplains, social workers, licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, bereavement staff, a dietician, a respiratory therapist, trained volunteers and the hospice physician.
Hospice House is Central Florida’s only dedicated hospice facility in Central Florida, staffed 24/7 with 16 private suites and bathroom with access to a lanai and outdoor garden, furnished and decorated to provide a peaceful, home-like environment for both patients and visitors.

A chapel provides a quiet place for prayer, meditation and small gatherings. A bright, cozy family room invites families to gather together to enjoy conversation, watch television or allow children time for play.
The café is a comfortable place to grab a snack, enjoy a meal or take a moment to relax. A visitor’s shower and laundry room is also available, in an effort to ensure all the comforts of home are available to patients and visitors alike.

Visiting Hours Visitors are welcome 24/7. Accommodations for overnight guests are available. Children are always welcome, but must be supervised. |
Family Room & Playroom Comfortable places to watch tv, read a book, play a game, or just take a moment to relax. |
Telephone, Computer Local calls and Wi-Fi are free to patients and visitors. There is also a computer in the family room and the children’s playroom. |

Café Visitors may dine with a patient or grab a snack or meal for a small donation in the cozy self-serve café. Vending machines available. |
Pets Cats and dogs are welcome with proof of rabies vaccination and flea preventative medicine. Leash/carrier required at all times. |

Laundry Laundry facilities are available for use by visitors. |
Gift Shop Staffed by volunteers, you'll find a variety of items including fresh flowers, clinging crosses, note cards, jewelry and handmade crafts. |
Shower Facilities A shower facility is available for vistitors who have stayed overnight or just need to freshen up. |
