Hospice In-Patient UnitHospice of the Comforter Inpatient Facility

Hospice of the Comforter has been serving the Central Florida community since 1990. Our team joined the Adventist Health System in 2014 and became part of Florida Hospital’s Connected Care system.

Our facility is designed with a home-like feel so that both the patient and family receive holistic care. Our team is guided by the highest ethical principles, while expertly caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families who are facing an incurable illness.

Patients admitted have needs including pain management, shortness of breath, or other symptoms that cannot be managed in another setting. Our facility is staffed around the clock with licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants to meet our patient’s every need. Hospice-trained physicians also round daily to make adjustments in care plans and assess each patient. Our social worker and chaplain will assist with discharge planning and other needs once pain and symptoms are stable.

Because interpersonal relationships and being surrounded by love and support, are part of the Hospice of the Comforter experience, we consider families an integral part of the care team. Therefore, we want to ensure that families also have the comforts of home.

Visiting Hours

Guests are greeted in the lobby and visitors are always welcome, including children, with 24-hour access.
