Hospice of the Comforter is the only non-profit hospice that provides a compassionate ministry for the growing number of patients and families facing a life-limiting illness in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties since 1990.

Hospice care is an interdisciplinary, individualized patient and family-centered program of care
with an emphasis on pain control and palliative symptom management.

A patient who chooses hospice care receives emotional, physical and spiritual support
for their incurable illness. Hospice of the Comforter provides doctors, nurses, chaplains, certified home
health aides or nursing assistants, counselors or social workers and volunteers to every patient.

Comprehensive bereavement services are provided not only for the surviving family,
but also community members not touched by Hospice of the Comforter. Hospice of the Comforter
also offers the Horizons Children’s Loss Program, a grief support service for children.
