Mitch Mikkonen joined Hospice of the Comforter as Executive Assistant in 2005, working as both a chaplain and as executive assistant to Hospice of the Comforter's President and CEO, Robert G. Wilson. Mitch, a South Dakota State University graduate, was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2008. He oversees the clinical side of our operations, including nursing, psychosocial, chaplaincy, education and medical records and compliance.

Mitch has a Master's of Divinity degree from Andrews Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Master's of Business Administration.  He has previously worked in finance, specializing in estate planning, investment brokering, financial consultation and bank management for AG Edwards & Sons, Northwestern Mutual Life, AT&T and the Florida Hospital Foundation.  He most recently worked as a chaplain with the Palliative Care/End-of-Life program at Florida Hospital.
