Sandra Powers, MA, LMHC, Vice President of Patient and Family Services, has been with Hospice of the Comforter since 1998.

Sandra oversees the Patients Benefits department, the Bereavement Department and the Horizons Children's Loss Program, which employ more than 25 social workers, mental health counselors and benefits coordinators.  Prior to her eight years here, for four years she maintained a private practice in Winter Park, Florida, focusing on clients with chronic and terminal illnesses. She also worked at Hospice of Central Florida and New Hope for Kids.  

She graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park with a Master of Arts degree in Education and Human Development.
